The 22nd annual Volunteer Leadership Institute-Hawaii is the credit union industry's
premier conference and draws nationally acclaimed speakers. The Institute allows
Volunteers to enhance their ability to make strategic, effective decisions and create
governance processes to lead effectively. Networking opportunities are abundant
and the location isn’t bad either!

VLI Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be received in writing. Please provide a brief explanation
for the cancellation and submit via email to
Cancellations received more than 30 days prior to the event are subject to a 25%
administrative fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellations received on
or after 30 days prior to the event. Substitutions are accepted prior to the start
of the program.

Registered guests are welcome to join us for lunch on Wednesday,
Thursday and Friday; breakfast on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and Dinner in Paradise
on Friday as well as a Guest orientation and hula lessons. Thursday will find us
sailing along the Kohala Coast on two beautiful sailing catamarans. The cruise will
include an option to snorkel. Lunch is included.
Dinner in Paradise
We have a very special treat in store for you at the Dinner in Paradise. We are
thrilled that Grammy nominated Kahulanui
– “The Hawaiian Kings of Swing” will take us on a trip back into time when
Hawaiian music blended with American Jazz creating a genre known as Hawaiian Swing…..The
Wall Street Journal says "You’ve never heard a beat quite like this, either
in Hawaii or in Harlem. Kahulanui is a ferocious blast of swinging jazz. The sun
may be hot, but the music is hotter".
Break out the dancing shoes and get ready to swing!
Attendees can earn continuing professional education credits. This institute meets
the following standards:
- CPE credits earned: up to 23
- Program level: overview
- Delivery method: group-live
- Preparation: no advanced preparation is needed
- Prerequisites: not required for this program
