We’re so excited to welcome you to the beautiful Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa in just a few days! Here are some reminders to help you make the most of your experience at the Institute.

Registration

Registration for the Bonus Session will begin at 7:15 am on Tuesday, January 13th on the Grand Promenade. General registration will be Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Registration will re-open at 7:15 am on Wednesday.

If you have not registered for a Bonus Session and would like to attend one of the sessions, contact Sue Girsch at admin@vlihawaii.com. Cost is $450.

Meals

Breakfast

Tuesday and Wednesday - On Your Own

Options include the Seaview Terrace, Ilima Terrace or in-room dining

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday - Provided by the Institute

7:00 am to 8:15 am: Grand Garden Promenade

Lunch

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday - Provided by the Institute

12:00 pm to 1:15 pm: Grand Garden Promenade

Dinner in Paradise – Luau

Friday

6:00 pm: Illima Garden

Dietary Needs

The hotel is happy to accommodate special dietary needs with prior notice. For assistance, please stop by the registration desk or email Sue Girsch at admin@vlihawaii.com.

Speaker Presentations Are Now Online

Speaker presentations (in pdf format) can be accessed for viewing or download. Presentations can be found on our website: www.VLIHawaii.com/Presentations. We highly recommend downloading presentations prior to your arrival in the ballroom.

Institute / CPE App

We will use the Institute/CPE App to record session attendance, evaluate the sessions and register for CPE credit (if you want it). The easiest way to do this is using your cell phone. Registration instructions are included in the Institute notebook you will receive at registration. Our hosts can assist if you need it.

Parking for Guests Staying Offsite

There is no cost for self-parking. Valet parking is $40 per day.

Baggage Handling

$14.00 (plus tax) per person round trip. This will be added to your folio. Additional gratuity for bell staff is at your discretion.

Room Attendant Gratuity

A room attendant gratuity of $4 per day is suggested (at your discretion).

Dress Code

Dress for VLI is resort casual. Appropriate casual attire is fine for Institute sessions. Shorts, pants, sandals etc. are appropriate. Evening events are a bit more formal. Most men will wear an aloha shirt or golf shirt and the ladies wear aloha wear or pants. Wear what you would wear to a nice restaurant.

Guest Meal and Luau Package

Your guest(s) can still register for our Guest Package. The Package includes the following:

• Breakfast on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
• Lunch on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
• Dinner in Paradise (luau) on Friday night

Guest Program Cost - $850 per person. Email Sue Girsch at admin@vlihawaii.com if you want to register. Please ask your guest(s) to check-in at the registration table to get their name tag, schedule and bag.

VLI Cancellation Policy

• Prior to 120 days - full refund
• 61-120 days before start of event - 50% refund
• 0-60 days before start of event - no refund
• Substitute attendees are welcome
